Hey, I'm Loretta
The woman behind
Perfectly Popped Balloons.
I built this from the ground up for a reason:
Balloon Artist, Educator, Mentor, Founder of the Perfectly Popped Premium Bouquet, The Perfect Pathway Membership, The Success Suite Mastermind, and the Balloon Business Guide
And before any of that, just a woman who needed things to change — and decided to make them.
Where it Started
Here's where it all began.

There was a time, not that long ago, where everything felt heavy. Not just financially. Emotionally. I felt trapped in my own life, and I don’t just mean physically, I mean mentally, like the walls were closing in. We were in real debt. The kind that sits on your chest and doesn’t let you breathe properly. The kind that follows you to bed and wakes you up before your alarm does. Every single decision felt loaded. Every day felt like survival.
We nearly lost our home.
There wasn’t some big glamorous moment where I decided to start a business. It wasn’t a dream. It wasn’t a five year plan. It was pressure. It was fear. It was me lying there thinking, I have to do something.
So I started. I’d always been good with my hands, years as a nail technician will do that to you, and it turned out that skill was about to matter in a whole new way. I got a lot of it wrong too. I underpriced because I didn’t have a clue what I was actually doing, not because I didn’t believe I was worth more. I overworkedÂ
because I thought that’s what it took. I said yes to everything because I was scared of losing anything. I poured everything I had into something I didn’t fully understand.
I learned the hard way. But at the same time, something else was happening. I was finding my voice. Because when you’ve been in a position where everything feels like it’s slipping through your fingers, something inside you either shuts down, or it wakes up.
Mine woke up.
I started talking about pricing long before I felt confident doing it, because I knew exactly what it felt like to be on the other side of it. Exhausted, underpaid, and questioning everything. I didn’t want anyone else to feel that.
And Where it Went
From the lounge floor
to the world stage.
In the beginning, I was doing what so many of us do. Trying to juggle everything. I was a mum, a partner, and a woman carrying the mental weight of holding it all together, all while chasing a dream I wasn’t even sure I was allowed to have. I had no time, no money, and honestly, no clue how I was going to make this balloon business work.
Most days I was creating on my lounge floor, squeezing balloon jobs in between homeschooling and sheer exhaustion. There were nights I cried into a plate of beans on toast because that was genuinely all we could afford. We were skipping meals, properly skipping them, not “on a diet” skipping them. We’d sold the furniture too, so plenty of those nights I cried into a mattress on the floor wondering if I was completely mad for even trying. Great for the back. Absolutely rubbish for the soul.
I questioned myself constantly. Was I good enough? Was any of this even realistic? But deep down, something told me I was meant for more than just surviving, more than just “getting by.”
It wasn’t easy. There were tears, failures, and a whole lot of “what now” moments. But through it all, I kept showing up. I kept learning. I kept building. And slowly, things began to change. The bookings came. The confidence grew. The vision got clearer. That turned into something bigger than I ever expected. I’ve now supported hundreds of people in this industry to build businesses that actually work for them. Not just creatively, financially, mentally, and sustainably too.
What I will say is this: I lead with kindness. Always. Even when it’s not returned. Even when it would be easier not to. That’s who I am at my core, and it’s not up for negotiation.
Some of the best parts of this journey have had nothing to do with balloons at all. I have friendships in this industry that go way beyond them, women in America who’ve opened their homes to me, taken me in like family, sent gifts to my son, and know my actual life, not just my business page. They’re not students. They’re my people. And the quieter friendships at home, the ones that don’t live on social media, have seen the tears, the stress, the real moments nobody else sees. That’s the kind of success I actually care about. Success isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s just who’s stood beside you when everything else feels uncertain.
I’m a homeschool mum. My son is with me constantly, and he’s honestly my biggest cheerleader, the one who pulls me back up when I fall down. He’s basically my inner voice and my life coach, he just doesn’t know it yet. My life doesn’t switch off just because the work does, and I live inside my own energy the same as anyone else does. Some days I can give everything. Some days I genuinely can’t. For a long time I fought that. I tried to keep up. I tried to match what everyone else seemed to be doing.
It nearly broke me. I ended up in hospital, and that was the wake up call I needed. Because you cannot build something amazing on top of something that’s falling apart underneath. I had to learn to do things differently, to work with myself instead of constantly against myself, and that’s genuinely where everything started to shift again.
And then, further down the line, we actually lost our home. All of it. I want to be honest with you about this bit because I think it matters more than the highlight reel. This wasn’t the same situation as before, but it was the same feeling, all over again. This time, though, I felt more in control. I understood what was happening. I wasn’t the same person I’d been the first time. I’d grown. I’d built something. I had options.
That matters, because growth doesn’t mean the hard things stop happening. It means you go through them differently. Today I’ve got over 96,000 followers, a reach of three million accounts worldwide, and I was named Balloon Artist of the Year in 2024, an award I still can’t quite believe has my name on it. That business has taken me all over the world to teach, stages I never in a million years pictured myself standing on. Right now, I’m very much in a rebuilding phase, but not from scratch this time. From experience. From everything I’ve lived through. And I know, without a doubt, there’s another level coming. Another chapter.
Explore ServicesI'm on a Mission
To help balloon artists and creative business owners realise they’re capable of a lot more than they’ve been told.
I know exactly what it feels like to doubt yourself, to feel invisible, to wonder if you’re ever going to make it. I also know what’s possible when you’re given the right support, the right tools, and someone properly in your corner who gets it.
My goal isn’t just to teach you how to build beautiful displays, it’s to help you build a beautiful life. One where you feel confident showing up, where you’re booked and respected, and where your talent finally feels seen
This isn’t about surface level success. It’s about deep transformation, in your business, your mindset, and your belief in what’s actually possible. I’m here to guide you through the hard bits, cheer you on through the wins, and remind you that you were never “just” a balloon artist.
You’re a business owner. A creative. A force. And together, we’re going to make sure the world sees that too.
