I’m going to be honest with you, because that’s the only way I know how to do this.
Perfectly Popped Balloons is two things at once. A premium balloon brand behind some of Essex’s most beautiful events. And the place balloon artists from all over the world land when they’ve tried everything else, cried in the car about it, and are finally ready for the thing that actually moves the needle.
I didn’t build this business because it was a dream. I built it because we were in debt, the kind that sits on your chest, and we were about to lose our home. There was no glamorous “one day I decided to start a business” moment. It was pressure. It was fear. It was me thinking, I have to do something, right now.
So I started. I got a lot of it wrong. I underpriced because I didn’t believe I was worth more. I said yes to everything because I was terrified of losing anything.
And then, further down the line, it happened anyway. We lost our home. All of it. So I built again, not from scratch this time, from everything I’d already lived through. That’s the version of me that shows up for you now, someone who has genuinely been flattened and got back up anyway, because nothing was going to stop me getting this right for my family
There are courses out there that teach you the practical stuff, the pricing, the systems, the bookings, and I teach that too. But bolting a system onto someone who doesn’t yet believe she deserves the results never works. This is both sides, done properly

Hi, I'm Loretta
I built this from nothing.
And now I help others do the same.
I’m not going to give you the shiny version of this. Six years ago I was sat on my lounge floor, surrounded by balloons, trying to homeschool my son at the same time, genuinely panicking about how we were going to keep the lights on. I didn’t have a blueprint. I didn’t have anyone backing me. Most days I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I just knew stopping wasn’t an option, because too much depended on me not stopping.
There were nights I cried into a plate of beans on toast because that was genuinely all we could afford. We were skipping meals, proper skipping them, not “on a diet” skipping them. We’d sold the furniture too, so there were nights I cried into a mattress on the floor wondering if I was mad for even trying. (Great for the back, absolutely rubbish for the soul.) I’m not telling you that for sympathy. Though fair warning, if we ever meet in person, I will hug you. I hug everyone. It’s genuinely a problem. I’m telling you because I think you need to hear that the person teaching you this didn’t start from a place of “having it all together.” I started from the actual floor. Literally, and financially.
Today I’ve got over 94,000 followers, a reach of three million accounts worldwide, and I was named Balloon Artist of the Year in 2024. That business has taken me all over the world to teach.
But none of that is actually where the pride comes from. I lost it all once. Really lost it. And I built it back. I felt every bit of the fear the whole way through, I just refused to let it be the end of my story. I’m proud of what I’m capable of in a way I genuinely didn’t know I could be. I still take bookings.
I still get down on that same kind of floor and create, because watching someone’s face the second they see their balloons for the first time never, ever gets old for me.
And neither does watching a balloon artist go from doubting every single thing about herself to standing in her own worth. That’s the bit I love the most. Genuinely.
